Kinesiology:  A Holistic Energetic Healing Modality

Originating in the 1970’s, Kinesiology is a non-invasive technique that combines the holistic health discipline of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with techniques such as Acupressure and many others.

Kinesiology is a combination of ancient, eastern science and western muscle monitoring, which balances the body on many levels.  Kinesiology works to enhance the body’s innate healing process to restore balance and health to an individual’s neurological and physiological function.

With the use of muscle monitoring the practitioner is able to access information about a person’s wellbeing.

Muscle monitoring involves challenging the bio-feedback mechanism present in all muscles to reveal imbalances within the body.

The muscle response may show stress within the physical, mental, emotional, energetic or nutritional systems of the body.  Any stress present within the system is indicating an imbalance on a deeper level that requires correction.

The goal of any Kinesiology ‘balance’ is to identify the bottom-line cause of the imbalance and resolve them.  While the cause may be nutritional, emotional, structural, psychological,  energetic or even spiritual, it can even be something as simple as an ‘attitude’ or a forgotten memory.

Through Kinesiology, profound changes may be experienced to increase a person’s health and wellbeing to an optimal level.

As an additional qualification, Jenny is an Australian Bush Flower Essence (ABFE) practitioner and utilities this as a correction tool in her sessions when required, along with the use of other ‘balancing’ or ‘correcting’ tools, that assist in the Kinesiology session.  As a Kinesiologist, there are many tools that practitioners can use when working with clients and these vary from one practitioner to another, depending on their area of specialty.

Kinesiology can be effective in assisting such issues as:

  • Fatigue
  • Stress
  • Depression/Anxiety
  • Fears/Phobias
  • Learning Difficulties
  • Hormonal Imbalance
  • Asthma and Allergies
  • Behavioral Problems
  • Relationship Issues
  • Physical Pain, and much, much more

It can also help enhance personal development and lifestyle to improve general wellbeing.

Recommendations following a Kinesiology Treatment:

  • Drink plenty of water and rest if required.
  • Avoid caffeine, sugary foods and alcohol.

Things to be aware of following a Kinesiology treatment:

  • Emotional releasing — this can be a natural part of the healing process. Just allow it to flow.
  • Physical releasing — this can also occur is part of the healing process. Physical discomfort or changes may be felt during and after a treatment.

All responses experienced after a treatment can vary from quite subtle to profound, depending on the person and how their system responds.  These changes are all signs that the body is shifting as a result of the treatment and clearing past and present issues.

Each Kinesiology session is as individual as the person being treated; therefore the responses can be just as varied.  Sessions can last from 60mins to 90mins.
